Progressive Products, Inc., a Pittsburg, KS manufacturing company, will celebrate its 40th anniversary on Friday, September 27, 2019. PPI was the brain child of Robert “Bob” Allison. Allison worked for decades in the pneumatic conveying industry, including his other company Horizon Systems, Inc. Bob, with the help of Roger Messinger, developed PPI’s core product – the Ceram-Back® pipe elbow. PPI has been at its current location at 3305 Airport Circle in Pittsburg since 2000.
In 2005, Apex Stages, a brand of PPI, was born. Apex Stages is the 2nd largest hydraulic stage manufacturer in North America.
“We are very proud of where we come from as a company and look forward to many more years serving the pneumatic conveying industry and the stage industry,” says PPI President Todd Allison. “My dad left an amazing legacy I am working to preserve.”
PPI will celebrate its anniversary with an employee luncheon at 11:30 am on Friday, September 27, 2019 and ribbon cutting at 2 pm at the new Apex Stage building at 3530 N. Lone Star Road, Pittsburg which is just North of Martinous Produce on South 200th Street.
